I had a leaking water supply pipe. This is only covered if:

1. It is reported within 24 hours,
2. It is due to accidental damage.

I wonder exactly how you exactly damage something accidentally when it is more than two feet underground?? They wanted me to uncover the pipe so that they cold then inspect it and see whether the damage was 'accidental' or due to wear and tear. Useless. They will never have to pay out. If you want effective cover go to Homeserve - I wish I had stayed with them.
