In Sep 2010 my home insurance was due a renewal and I went for Insure as they came up with a good quote and apparent value for money through a comparisson website. They are one big con-artist(aka Hastings Insurance). Paid my insurance, got my policy and booklet. The booklet actually differed from what I initially paid for, my insurance cover is actually pathetic. And yes, I did receive all the info AFTER the cooling down period. Don't ever ask for a replacement policy or try to ammend your cover, or even consider cancellation before the 12 months are up, they will squeeze you like a lemon with extortionate fees.
Do yourself and your money a favour and go with a reputable company, even if their premiums appear a little more at first sight.
