on 26 sept 2014 I renewed my annual service plan, paid for on 7 November 2014, when I did not hear from them a date for my service I contacted them again 8 dec 2014 to be told the earliest date they could carry out the service was late FEBUARY2015, the CEO needs to get a grip and get round the shop floor.

Hi

I’m sorry to learn that you were unhappy with the timeframe offered for your annual boiler service.

To clarify, with both HomeServe and Glow Worm policies all boiler services are normally undertaken Monday – Friday, 9am to 5pm between April – September. This is highlighted within the Terms and Conditions as follows:

Annual Gas Boiler Service
Your policy includes provision for an annual gas boiler service by Glow-worm. This is not an element of insurance and therefore it is not part of the contract of insurance underwritten by the underwriter and it is not regulated by the FCA. This also means that if you have any complaint relating to this service, you will not have the right to refer the complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service. Glow-worm will contact you to arrange for an engineer to service the gas fired boiler to statutory requirements, manufacturer’s recommendations and relevant codes of practice. Boiler services are normally undertaken Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, between April and September.
