Because my house 19th century and of unorthodox construction, a lot of insurers wouldn't quote. Homeprotect were very good and offered everything I needed.

I can't say what they are like when it comes to making a claim because luckily I've never needed to!

My only complaint (which seems common with a lot of insurers) is that they automatically renew and take money from the card you last used unless you tell them in good time before the policy runs out.

The only reason I changed to another insurer was price (renewal was not bad, but could do a lot better through other providers selling the same AXA policy).

Overall I would recommend them.
