My washing machine broke so made a claim in the middle of May. I was convinced it was the bearings due to the noise it was making. The first 4 engineers didn't even turn the machine on to diagnose the problem! One engineer took the washing machine outside to fix and after lots of banging with a hammer returned it as fixed. Again no test of the machine to check. The machine then put oil all over my washing. After another phone call to domestic and general they refused to pay for my ruined clothes (I was told to claim on my house insurance!) A complaint was filed and settled with an offer of £105 compensation for not being able to fix the problem with 5 engineer call-outs. Perhaps if they actually turned the machine on they would get a better idea! When a new machine was ordered I was told someone would phone within 48 hours to arrange a delivery date but surprise surprise no call. AVOID THEM: THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY BUT DO NOT DELIVER A SERVICE!
