The cooker worked very well at first and was a dream to use compared to my old one. I took out the extended warranty because the indicator light on the front of the cooker failed within the first twelve months. The engineer told me this was because of the heat generated had melted the lamp holder? A second lamp failed and the same engineer came out and repaired it! A short while ago the grill packed up and the same engineer came out for the third time and had to order a new element and return later to replace it. All seemed to be going well on their call out system and I felt I had done the right thing by taking out the extended warranty on a cooker which now seemed to be not such a good buy - wrong. Now the cooker won't heat up and I'm having a hard time getting an engineer. I rang the Domestic & General numberand was referred to the number I'd already been ringing without success. I pointed this out and was told to ring again later. The cooker is barely 17 months old so all in all the engineer will have been out five times, that's of course if I get to speak to one. Would I recommend this cooker to a friend? I couldn't possibly comment!
