I have storm damage to my roof and water ingress. I raised a claim over 3 weeks ago and was told that it would take 3 days to be contacted by the repairer to put things right. After a week had passed I tried to contact Direct Line again but after 1 hour on hold gave up. I have subsequently tried contacting them again with the same result - giving up after 1 hour.
I have today cancelled the claim as I can't wait any longer and have to organise the repair myself. There is only so much emptying of buckets you can take.
Co incidentally my renewal has arrived and is much more expensive than last year as other reviews suggest. Guess what I called on the renewal line was connected within 30 seconds, I then took great pleasure in telling them what to do with the renewal.
Very poor service.
