As others have mentioned in the reviews this lot take payments earlier than stated - charge ridiculous fees, high premiums and employ liars in customer service. Avoid like the plague!

I contacted customer service at the time - they apologised and then did it again! We have now moved insurers and cut our premium cost in half. When I rang to cancel our policy customer service asked me why we were moving so I mentioned our bad experience again and the cost saving of over £200 - they said they could offer me a discount not to move insurers which just added insult to injury!!!

Thanks I'd be happy to do that but short of giving me some sort of refund for the several years we paid a premium well over the odds we have moved on and bought cover elsewhere.

Why deal with this on a 1 2 1 basis Anhonestopinion has made clear the issue for all to see and Dial DIrect do not wish all to see what they are prepared to do to resolve this

Sorry not sure what point you're making - if you mean 'why not deal with this on a 1 2 1 basis' I agree but DD put comments in public online and therefore naturally I'll respond to them in public online. If you're correct that DD don’t wish 'all to see what they're prepared to do' then that's a bit cynical of them - I run several business and I'm very happy for the public to know how we deal with our customers as we're honest, open and proud to offer customer satisfaction. To be clear I don’t expect a refund from DD - as stated we have moved on so we should finish this conversation.
