I have been with Castle Cover for 3 years, in the beginning I saved about 180 pounds, but premiums have shot up so don't know how this compares with other insurers. Is it still the bargain it was?
What really annoys me is the constant telephone calls: if you are not at home they don't leave any message, and when you ring them you are left hanging on for a long time. They kept trying to sell me insurance for the wiring in the home, even though I told them I had just had it rewired by Southern Electric, and the work was guaranteed for 15 years.
They rang me twice in one week saying my car insurance was due for renewal: I don't own and never have owned a car. I should have asked for details, make, model, and registration number of this mythical car.
I have been receiving on average 2 calls a day from them. One day they rang me 4 times. I emailed them and requested they stop as it is bordering on harrassment. They refused, so I reported the matter to Ofcom.
