1st time I have had to claim on home insurance in 10 years, and I have been blown away by the ease and professionalism of the service.
A leak caused damage to flooring, and needed identifying as under the floor).
A phoned Barclays, a claim was lodged and I was advised to get a plumber to identify the problem and costs will be covered. They would also send a surveyor out to check the damage to the floor.
He arrived, measured up, and offered a settlement for the floor there and then that would be with me in a cheque within a few days. AMAZING!
He also gave me all of his contact points for sending on the bills for the plumber and any repairs/tiling that is needed to fix the issue.
Whilst the claim is not yet concluded, I have to say that this service is a refreshing change to the horror story's that you read.
Well done Barclays, very impressed.
