I love to cook and recognize good quality ingredients. I also love watching Saturday Kitchen so when I heard that James Martin had started Life Fork and Spoon a few years back I thought I'd give him a bit of moral support and order a few items. I have so far had Lasagne,Cottage pie,Steak pie, Buttered Chicken Balti, Lamb Shanks and Whisky and White Chocolate bread and Butter Pudding oh yes and the pate. ALL of it was delicious. No complaints whatsoever. My very first order was missing an item and I called immediately and was sent out three items to replace the one I was missing at no extra charge. Excellent food excellent service. My only gripe is that I can not afford to order on a regular basis and tend to order when there are offers on.

Served this with rice and followed the cooking instructions, boiling it in the bag. i also prepared chopped pineapple, banana and peanuts to go with it. it was a delightful meal, fragrant and tasty whilst not over spiced. Thoroughly enjoyable.

If you're like me and have zero culinary skills placing an order with Life Fork and Spoon is the answer to hosting a dinner party. There is a wide range of dishes and I have always found something to suit everyone. I particularly love the traditional lasagne and the chocolate tart is simply divine. A total stress free and delicious way of dining, I'm can't wait to organise my next dinner party knowing it will be a night of amazing food and I will be very relaxed having not had to sweat it out in the kitchen. I cannot recommend Life Fork and Spoon highly enough, they have totally transformed my "at home" dining experience, so easy to order and all you have to do is warm it up, brilliant!

I was entertaining recently and didn't have time for my usual major preparations, I had heard of Life Fork Spoon and thought this was the time to give them a try. I placed the order, which arrived promptly and wasn't in the slightest disappointed with the quality of food. Good value for money and no worries about cheating, it tasted great.

As above, trying to contact anyone regarding the order seems an impossibility with this company - what happened to good old fashioned people? Food was mediocre, very poor quality in retrospect of the prices they charge. Food was no better than any other 241 pub grub - all boil in the bag with a fancy name, but more expensive and you're left with the washing up. I will just stick to eating out in future. I wonder how much James is actually involved in the development of these dishes...

While excellent flavour and overall high quality of the delivered meals was a given,the punctual achievement of delivery promises and standard of packaging was remarkable.Especially when the distance from kitchen to dining room under this system is just under 200 miles!Marvellous service.

I love everything about Life Fork and Spoon.....from the website with great pictures and simplicity in itself. I have done many orders and have always been delighted with the results. The orders arrive on time beautifully packaged and perfectly frozen. My favourite's are the pates....which I do pass off as home made , for party's I spread over crackers and top with red onion marmalade for a great canape. All of the main courses that we have tried have been delicious my children particularly love the curried chicken pies. Oh and the desserts are truly wonderful. I work full time and have 4 children , therefor filling my freezer with Life Fork and Spoon products makes life so much easier when I simply do not have time to cook but we all want to eat something delicious !

Have had the meals from Life,Fork and Spoon since the beginning,dinner box for 2,Valentines Day and individual ordering . The food is great ,with a varied choice ,is easy to order on - line [ still preferred phone call ordering ],and have had prompt delivery every time .Usually a pre delivery e-mail that say on it's way,and substantial packing . Food is easy to cook ,following instructions, tasty and moreish ! Just looking at web site makes me hungry ! Favourites have to be the pies, stuffed chicken and lamb shanks..Oh and the desserts of course Just a shame family size meals don't come in smaller portions!! The only criticism I have is the rose that came with Valentines Day box was dead on arrival ![stem was snapped !!] Great ,easy to prepare meals wether at home or on holiday ..and no messy pans to wash either :-)

Absolutely delicious food which I shall certainly order again. At the end of a busy week, I don't really want to think about preparing food for a dinner party so Life Fork and Spoon come into their own for that purpose. An absolute must in our household!

My first LFS experience was Valentines Day 2013. We have two young children so finding a babysitter on the most romantic day of the year isn't ever going to happen! So, with the help of LFS, a few flowers and candles, oh, and a bottle of fizz, our dinning room was transformed! The food arrived beautifully presented with some very easy instructions. So easy in fact that my husband could've followed them. But, on this occasion, he did not! The food was yummy and fresh. I particularly enjoyed improvising on the dessert by adding my own finishing touch. Completely wowed by our first LFS experience, we found ourselves wanting to create another occasion so we could share this experience with our friends. So, we did. Recently, some friends have had a baby and moved house both pretty much at the same time. You can only imagine their delight when a LFS parcel landed on their new doorstep! We didn't know what to buy them and I figured that they'd be in need a good meal - turns out they were!

Another fab order from Life Fork Spoon. The food arrived nicely packaged and amazingly cool even during our hottest period of English weather. Just like the cooking instructions, it was a easy cheat to feed my family after a long day. The quality and presentation of the food was fantastic. I highly recommend their products.

Once again the food arrived on time. We ordered the Valentine Dinner including Duck Confit which was absolutely superb and fell off the bone. The vegetables were good quality and tasted delicious. The carrot and swede mash was slightly too pureed for me which made them slightly wet but still tasted good. The lemon drizzle pudding was very very more-ish. The Red rose is still good after a week. Haven't tasted the chocolate heart yet but looking forward to eating it. Once again many thanks for good food and delivery being so reliable. Nantwich, Cheshire

'ThisOrdered and paid for dinner for 2. simply did not drive. Unfortunately for us the meal was a gift to be delivered on a friday . The friends waited in all day 8 - 6 nothing, I rang and left a message and sent an email but obviously nothing happened all weekend. On the monday nothing from the company. I rand several times no reply. I then contacted the alternative business as registered as Life Fork and Spoon were not registered at the office address and they put me through. The young man had no customer skills at all. Eventually they rang back saying someone had tried to ring me but it was unavailable. obviously was not unavailable when he did in fact ring with the information that the courier they they use lost the order. 'This has happened before when we get busy but usually they tell us'. I asked tounge in cheek if that meant that the courier had enjoyed the ordered meal at my expense. He said 'probably'. Apparently an email had been sent. Not received at that time but later offering the possibility of other goodies when the next meal was going to be sent the next day which was totally unsuitable and free delivery. I just asked for my money back. honestly appeared to be a totally unprofessional set up with a professional name on the side. Shame.

After reading the excellent reviews ordered dinner party for 6 plus additional veg to take away for celebratory weekend. Order arrived with dessert substitutions 2 original desserts unavailable so substituted with double the remaining dessert and x2 alternative desserts in this case white chocolate and whisky bread and butter pudding (I do not like white chocolate or whisky) and unfortunately the doubled up original dessert was also my least favourite. We found on unpacking that the substitute dessert had come without cooking instructions. Despite contacting the customer services department 4 times and being promised instructions would be sent through this failed to happen until my husband sent an email of complaint, this was never acknowledged but the instructions apeared by email. This caused us to have to delay our departure and caused considerable irritation and stress. The food was reasonable but not outstanding, my adult children thought my own cooking to be superior and the desserts over sweet for their liking, the veg apart from the roast potatoes(small portion size) were very good. All in all save your money and get a superior ready meal from waitrose.

I have used Life Fork and Spoon a couple of times and will definitely order again. The food was excellent, as was the service and delivery.
