Very shady operation

I ordered boxes from this outfit, despite them being more expensive than competitors, because they sold bottle dividers as well as boxes, which I could not easily procure from competitors who sell competitively-priced quality boxes. However, the ordered bottle dividers did not arrive. When I alerted the company to this, they said they would send me what was missing.

Nothing happened, so I sent a number of follow-up e-mails which were, however, ignored.

So two weeks after the fact (the web site advertises next day delivery), I finally telephoned the office. The woman at the other end claimed that the reason I had not received the missing items was because I had asked for a refund. She claimed that I had telephoned before and asked for a refund by telephone.

I was somewhat surprised by this, since I had never telephoned the company before. Nor did I ask for a refund, but for the correct items to be delivered. I told the person on the other end this, but she continued to claim that I had telephoned before, and stated that all the calls were recorded. It was clear that this was not a mistake on her part, but that she was deliberately and aggressively making things up and lying to my face. By the sound of her voice, I would estimate that she was in her early 20s (if not younger), and her conduct was one of a dishonest and very badly brought up young woman.

She then went away, putting me on hold for several minutes, and came back claiming that the missing bottle dividers were - very conveniently - out of stock. So they could still not be delivered. I asked to speak to a supervisor. The woman on the other end then claimed there was no one else available. Then she hung up on me.

I tried to call back several times, but nobody was picking up the telephone.

In short, this is a very dishonest outfit with "customer service" which is beyond terrible. It is probably also a very small outfit, it would not even surprise me if it was a one-juvenile-delinquent-band.

I have not received a refund (which I would not want to, if I wanted just the boxes, I would have bought them somewhere else, better and cheaper), nor did I receive the items I had paid for. They simply took my money, kept it, failed to deliver, and when I followed up, they were rude to me and then made themselves unavailable.
