ordered a picnic basket from this company... They cancelled my order without letting me know and refused to refund me my voucher and livingsocial has refused to help as well !! Total scumbags !!

“ JEAN PATRIQUE CANNOT BE TRUSTED”

I ordered two Henley PICNIC BACKPACKS as gifts for my daughters and allowed 14 days for delivery. I also contacted them by email to ensure the order had been placed correctly and they assured me the items were in the warehouse ready to be dispatched. The parcels arrived 10 days later but they SENT WICKER PICNIC HAMPERS instead.TOTALLY DIFFERENT THING! I phoned customer service at 10p per minute and was told I had entered the incorrect code. I told them I hadn't entered a code just entered the number of items required by the backpack details and preceeded to checkout. I reminded them of the email, which I had kept a copy of, which clearly stated the items being purchased. At this the lady backtracked and replied that she know what had happened, THE BACKPACKS HAD BEEN DISCONTINUED AND THEY SENT THE WILLOW HAMPERS AS A REPLACEMENT! WHAT A LOAD OF NONSENCE. THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE COURTESY TO CONTACT ME AND ASK IF THIS WAS SUITABLE .This has left me without the gifts for my daughter and only 2 days to get them. She then said send them back.. at which I replied they would need to arrange a courier and gave me a day. as we are going on holiday the next day and had meetings planned for that day we I said this may be a problem and perhaps it would have to wait till after couldn't guarantee that we would be in. She persisted to say this is when they would be collected. I was starting to get annoyed. THEY had KNOWINGLY sent ME things I DIDN'T ORDER and expected me to alter arrangements and stay in for collection - there was no offer of alternative arrangements such as a return label that i could take to the post office , or waiting until our return. She was about to leave me on hold whilst she contacted her supervisor when I asked her to phone me back as it was already costing me a lot via the phone. I have phoned again, emailed twice and no response. I will take the matter further BUT BE WARNED STAY WELL AWAY On a brighter side I have made an order with Picnic$fun witha delightful gentleman on customer service who has already informed me that he has personally gone down to the warehouse and made sure this order has gone out today! Some firms know how to act
