We have just returned from a week in Weymouth Bay Holiday Park. It was fabulous. We had no trouble finding it using Satnav. First impressions of the Haven were good as you swing into site. Parking close to reception but be aware that at scheduled times for checking in, it can get a little busy. On checking in, staff were friendly and very helpful. We were allocated a caravan on Hillview, which was not too close to the main complex, so didn't get all the late night noise. Caravan was clean and as described. Beds were made up and linen smelled fresh. They even put a cardboard label on the loo to let you know it has all been sanitized!
The complex was clean with an arcade, indoor/outdoor pool with lazy river, park, sports café bar and restaurant (well it was the olympics after all), and a Live Lounge where evening entertainment was. Early evenings were all children based, but they were kept well entertained. As my children are early teenagers they stayed later, and thoroughly enjoyed a Queen tribute band one night and Shane Richie Jnr another. Meals in the restaurant were lovely, although a little more expensive than what you would pay at home.
As well as what I describe, you do have access to the Seaview Park too. This is a site right next door to Weymouth Bay which has bowling, crazy golf etc, but we never made it onto there so I can't really comment. Access to the beach was a bit of a tog to the bottom corner of the site, down a path (which could have done with a bit of cutting back), and then up and over the hill. There was a flatter path but it was a longer way, round the edge of the field. If you want sand on your beach then head to Weymouth. This one was shingle, but it didn't bother us any.
There is a regular bus service, with a stop just outside the site, to take you to the likes of Weymouth, that run approximately every 15 mins. All bus stops have a live feed notice board, so you always know how long the next bus will be.
Recommended place to visit: Take your family and a picnic in the car, a short drive away, to Durdle Door. Pay and display carpark. Worth spending a few hours there. Simply stunning!
I hope this review covers most of it. Hope your holiday is as good as ours was.
