“Dogs allowed, but not dog friendly.”

The site was ok,near the beach, which allowed dogs, activities ok , the staff doing the activities we couldn't fault, they were very good, Places to eat were only Burger King, and Mash & Barrel Cafe/Restaurant where the food was mediocre, but we are aware that they are cooking all day for lots of people. The biggest problem for us was that we could walk our dog around the areas where the Tourers and Static Caravans were, and the only other place was a small grass area outside the cafe area, which wasn't really ideal when it was raining, and as the weather was unsettled, this was not an option, as it was not under cover, to bring our dog with us if we wanted to have a meal, or a drink. We took our Grand Daughter with us, and she had activities booked, which some were outside, but as dogs were not allowed near the activities, we had to leave our dog yet again in the Motorhome. We have eaten in many Pubs/Restaurants/Hotels around the country, and Southern Ireland, and have always taken our well behaved Cocker Spaniel with us. My Husband spoke to an owner of a static caravan, and she said that it was only last year that the site allowed the small grass area provided. As we booked this holiday mainly for our 9Yr old Grand Daughter, and the fact that it said dogs were welcome. We thought this type of holiday would be ideal, how wrong we were. We will never book another Haven Holiday, and we will make sure that we choose a more suitable site next time. Our mistake....... Think Twice if you have a dog, this site is definitely -----Not Dog Friendly!!!!!!!!!
