Just having come back from a short weekend break with my husband and daughter, I felt compelled to wright a review about this place which I have never done before.
We arrived okay, not very well sign posted down a dark lane. The receptionist was pleasant enough and directed us to our caravan by map. The caravan was very disappointing, dated, dirty considering we upgraded to a gold, I think it was at least 10 years old ' an old gold' and very damp, plus the shower cubicle covered in mold around the bottom area. It was situated up on a bank/hill with no path just a grassy/muddy route. There are no caravans you can park outside, you have to leave you car in the carpark at the bottom/nearby. The only good thing I can say that it was quiet up there!
Having looked around, I noticed all the nice caravans are privately owned and situated by the lake. Most of the other caravans looked like they all needed updating and the whole park just looked so tired and needed some tlc. We did not try the swimming pool so we can't comment on that as we were put off by the cleanliness of everything else. Having just used the caravan as a base which was fine, we enjoyed our days out. I do appreciate that it is a good price for a small break but it just needs to habitable/clean/warm.
