Golden sands Rhyl Day 4 of our stay the bed legs collapsed and crushed my toes under it. Contacted the reception immediately they told my husband to fill in a accident form before taking me to hospital. First aider accompanied my husband and said I should visit A&E as there could be internal damage. I am registered disabled and suffer chronic pain daily besides this, however I am happy it fell on my toes and not my children's toes!!! We informed the reception upon our return 5 hours later that it was tissue damage after X-rays and we was told "could of been worse"! We stayed subsequently til Sarurday and contacted Hoseasons who we booked it thru and have only just recieved a response from the park denying liability even though there property caused an accident. They have also denied us reporting after we went to the hospital and telling them what the dr said stating " we would of visited her if we was informed" An incident happened in there caravan and on there site but they did not visit to check how I was They are refusing any offer of compensation or refund saying I will have to visit a solicitor and they have not contacted there insurers as I was advised by Hoseasons they would be in direct contact. This occurred 3 weeks ago and I am still in a lot of pain in my toes and still somewhat swollen. I am disgusted that this could happen in the uk with all the laws to protect is from this however we have not been protected! They have also stated it was a caravan of 1 month old and they was to check all other beds! They did not mention this to us onsite nor offer us any evidence of what safety standard this was too and proof that they was actually safe! The lock on the toilet came off so my 6 year old was locked in and this was reported but never written down! Is there a weight limit on them? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. We paid over £500 for 7 nights 6 ppl I would not recommend this place even though we had great fun the first time, we was buying a caravan onsite we had our deposit however we are glad we did not! We will not return, I advise try somewhere else there are many local and north Wales is amazing

we had a acravan in august 2011 private hired it was a lovely caravan near to the swimming pool and also that was good we had a great time but the weather wasnt brilliant but my daughter made friends with a girl name kiya but she dosent know her last name she is trying to get in touch with her but she dosent know how to contact her weve been told that she is living in a caravan at golden sands.The entertainment was good for children but it was alright for adults exspecially naughty nigel was funny and brilliant.Kiya was from manchester please contact me if you know anything

Just been and stayed at Golden Sands Holiday Park, had great fun and thought the entertainment was great. Although there could be a little bit more to do within the camp. The caravan we stayed at was in great condition, although the cooker didn't work and we had to use matches to light the cooker, there was no breadbin, there was water coming from the small toilet every now and again. Other than that the caravan was comfy and clean. Must say jerome is one of the funniest entertainers I've ever seen, and think his dancing skills were so funny and had me in stitches. Hope to visit again!
