Previously visiting this site we had read some of the reviews on this holiday park and was not expecting much. We arrived at ilfracombe on saturday and was greated by a very helpful receptionist and shown the location of our apartment as we have two dogs it was a bronze apartment it was not anything outstanding but very clean no sign of mould or anything like that we switched the hot water on and unpacked, we then went to the tesco which is a 5 minute walk from the site as the on site shop is very expensive and basic. Once we returned we tried to have a shower but found we had no hot water, spoke to reception and within 10 minutes we had a very helpful young lad who tried to fix the boiler but was unable to do so, we were then moved and upgraded to a royal gold apartment which was beautiful and clean. We wnet to the evening entertainment and well where do I start the entertainment team are alwful do they only know one party dance and everything is very repetitive even the children were getting bored of the mundane repetativness of it. The entertainment is very dizmal and such a let down when you come on holiday you expect to look forward to the evening entertainmnet but it was becoming boring why on earth have they not got a good entertainment manager here they could do so much more they do not seem to care what they do they still get paid at the end of the week, having spoken to other people who have been here before this was a better year for entertainment. This is my first time at a John Fowler site and it will be my last well done ilfracombe entertainments team you have made my mind up I will never retun

dead right worse place i have been to,threatened by staff,over priced drinks,etc,etc i am 76 and disabled,and last friday our last day. the manageress had me in tears.peter g woodley.
