I used my Gardengroom for the first time today on a very mixed hedge, I first tried it with the small collector and then with the hose and bag, both methods worked well. It worked as well as I thought it would. I purchased it because my hedge has grown over a wire fence and conventional hedge trimmers kept catching on the wire, however careful one tried to be, where as this one does not. I am very pleased with this machine it is a brilliant ides.Before I purchased this I had a small lightweight Flymo lawnmower which I decided to try and cut the hedge with which worked very well but (not recommended)it was a bit heavy and awkward but was one reason why I liked the idea of the Gardengroom because it is the same principle.

I do agree with one of the other reviewers that the string to tie the hose to the machine is a bit naff, surely they could have come up with a much better idea than that?
