“Disappointed and likely to change provider”

Written on: 19/06/2012

Good:

- Relatively cheap.

Bad:

- Please take care to decide what to declare on your health form; it excluded me from making claims FOREVER arising from a SINGLE VISIT to a GP 2 years ago, where the symptom was cured by an one-day medication. The fact that the symptom never re-occurred was irrelevant to them. They just want to 'play safe' I guess. If you paid GP a visit some 1.8 years ago you might as well wait until the 2 years declaration period is up before you apply.

- Poor communication with the staff. I found the letter to negotiate with the staff pretty condescending. On one occasion they did not reply my email, but just re-posted my insurance certificate in post. I somewhat expected that they would have the courtesy to use 60 seconds of their time to reply an email.

- You pay the fee, but you have no claim in the year, then it seems that they have forgotten you. No attempt to contact whatsoever. No email updates about changes of services, etc. Some might considered it as good point but I just felt I was forgotten, unimportant consumer.

- No 'no claim bonus' as far as I aware.
