“Don't get ill at the weekend”

I have recently taken out a business policy with health on line. Last night one of my employees developed suspected appendicitis and we have spent the night in A and E . It is not possible to reach anyone at health on line until Monday but he needs his op today, I called AXA Papp but thy can't help and were very rude. I will be cancelling my policy on Monday and going to BUPA as the object of taking the policy was to make sure they had speedy private treatment when needed. Be aware there is no 24 hour helpline therefore your treatment will be dictated by the time and day you are taken I'll. Very poor in the extreme. I will expect an apology and full refund.

To be fair, I doubt your employee would be able to see a private specialist at such short notice without booking in an appointment first for a review then booking back in for an operation a week or so later. Sounds like your employee needed A&E and that is the only place to be seen at that short notice. Private medical insurance needs you to be referred by your GP first and GPs dont really work weekends to be able to get the referral anyway. I don't work for HOL but I do work in an intermediary (we dont sell their policies either) but how you think pmi works is not the way it actually does!
