I was on the verge of saying 'forget it' - particularly as the target date had passed - but persevered. Failed to get past the security on the website (far too secure) so opted for hard copy instead. This process started the first week of January. The initial contact was very good. However, when receiving the policy in the post, it was not at all what I had discussed with the representative. After phoning, all apologies and corrected. However, a new application had to be completed (again) and returned to Freedom Health for approval. I searched a number of on-line supermarket engines for an income protection policy, including active quote. I judged them all to be too expensive, so I did not proceed. Active quote got back in touch with an even cheaper policy with a well known national insurer, it was the genuine article and about 1/2 the cost that I managed to find myself.
