Had the 1st one replaced for intermittent problems of no sound, or just displaying a green screen, sometimes in the middle of a program. Same problems with the replacement one. It's the same old story of having to turn it off and on again (& again). As not being able to skip endless, annoying adverts is even worse, I will probably keep it.

Bought this to replace an ancient Philips. Best I can say is you can record 2 programmes and watch 1 channel at same time (but cannot change tv channel while recording 2. The worst thing about it is the continuous noise it makes (drives me mad - a never ending burbling sound) Sometimes starts up with no sound so have to switch off & on. Also messages now and then re conflicted recordings but they all play anyway. When part way through a recorded film which you want to ditch, the recording has to be run fast forward right to the end to be able to delete it. Also remote control makes a clicking sound which is also annoying. So, After 3 months am going to buy a Panasonic.

Further to the above, having added a Humax wireless dongle to access the internet apps, the YouTube app became obsolete almost immediately
(YouTube made some changes and Humax had no facility to update).
Recently I have lost the Internet Radio App too, this no longer has sound.
So only BBC iPlayer is left in the way of useful apps.
The lack of any way of updating the box or dongle means guaranteed obsolescence.
Avoid Humax
