  I changed from E & L Insurance to Halifax Pet Insurance, mainly due to E & L appalling service. It's the best decision I made. Halifax Pet Insurance staff are superbly efficient, understanding and caring, and unlike E & L do actually answer the telephone.I made a claim on 29 May 2009 and received settlement on 10th June 2009. This is what you need when making a claim, not delays with feeble excuses, like no one to sign a cheque, computers crashed, it's in the process etc etc. ...

  I made a claim with Halifax Home Insurance in April 2009 for a carpet which was damaged.I have accidental damage cover on my policy for contents.The room is open plan (living/dining and staircase) and the staining occurred on the stairs. Halifax sent out an independent inspector to view the spoiled carpet.I thought I would be reimbursed for the cost of having the carpet professionally cleaned, however the inspector said that cleaning wouldn't solve the problem and calculated ...

  At last I have promise of a sum of money being paid into my account for my mortgage. This has been backdated to Feb when I made my first contact with halifax due to redundancy, altho not happy they dont pay the first month you are redundant. I only achieved this by contacting a mortgage advisor based in a city of london branch, had always been very professional in the past. He was extremely helpful.   I agree, DO NOT fall for the wonderful sales pitch..... once you need to make a claim, as I did due to redundancy February 2009, helpfullness goes out of the window!!! Very unhelpful, make numerous calls, requesting can I speak to the person dealing directly with the call, Im told they dont take calls. I applied for the cover back in Feb 2009, and now its June 2009. I have filled out the numerous forms that triclke out to you.... and like one of the previous reviewers have now had a late ...

  BEWARE of the cost of policy cancellation!!!!I have changed vehicle recently and bought a Japanese "Grey Import". Halifax Car Insurance will not insure these vehicles, so due to the fact I need my 10yrs NCB I called to cancel the policy and request proof of my NCB. £52 is what was aksed.
