  I brought a 700 £ Mountain bike from there a few months back and after a week or so of riding it, i realised that the crank was lose so i tighted it but because it was lose for so long it had bent so i toke it back to get a replacement crank on the free service that i was given with the bike.   I bought a mountain bike usually priced at £300, reduced to £150. I soon found out why - the chain fouled the frame in bottom gear. There was a design fault which was obvious to any user. Halfords did eventually agree to repair it under warranty, but only after a lot of waiting, around 3 weeks, and multiple explanations of the bleeding obvious! Go to a shop where the repairs dept can demonstrate they know what they're talking ...

  Well the Halfords in Derby in itself was incredibly easy to find, not only that but the staff were incredibly helpful, within stepping foot of the door a member of staff (looked a little unprofessional, but definitely knew his stuff) was there to help me, I was looking at the sat-nav cabinet when someone offered to talk me through them, I was looking at the cheapest on there before he told me that they do have a very large percentage of returns of them, and swayed me towards the slightly more ...

  I recently had trouble with my car not starting. I thought the battery needed charging, so I went to Halfords and bought a charger. On connecting it up to the battery it told me the battery was OK. Thinking I had bought the wrong charger, I went back and exchanged the charger, but the next one was no better. So I went back and got a full refund. I went to a garage to get a second opinion.   My son has had his bike for 2 weeks. It was a Christmas present. We took it back today for second time. The first time it went back, it was because the handle bars were insecure.
