My friend and I were walking through Parramatta shopping centre where we saw a stand. The guy said he would straighten our hair for free so we went along with it. The hair turned out amazing as I have thick and bushy hair. He convinced us to buy the product and because it had a good result we brought it only to take it home and realise that it wasn't half as good as the guys one was. It cost us $180, the heat fluctuates, it damaged my hair extremely even when I used a good heat protectant spray and did treatments and didn't even hold the straightness, a $40 Remington hair straighter would do better work that this one. Not only did the guy lie to us and made it seem so amazing (which his straighten was but the one I received was horrible) there was no refunds unless it was broken/faulty. I now have a Halo hair straighten which was $209.99 and was honestly the most amazing hair straighter in the world, and considering my hair is extremely hard to straighten and keep it's hold it works wonders. Don't feel pressured and give into the sellers trying to sell their straighteners to you because as I learnt it does nothing but waste your money.

Excellent flat iron. I got it in North Carolina (2007-2008) at one of those booths where they push you to purchase it. I am referring to the Corioliss Professional Straightening iron not a chi product as far as I know. It is the best I have ever tried so far. I have never had any problems with mine. I am writing this review in 2014 so it is pretty old and it is still working well. I don't use it everyday, maybe ten times a year. I go through stages where I use it and where I don't so that is just an estimate. My favorite feature is the temperature choices you have. When I start using it, I set it to the highest and after a few minutes I lowered it. Never had any negative issues with it at all. My hair is thick, red, curly and lots of volume, so this product is ideal for me.

I bought the phi flat iron ,and I find the handle is weak and it pulls my hair,,it also seems to stick to my hair..I. Thought using a spray would help, with the sticking to my hair but it doesn't.I have very thick hair so I took extremely small sections thinking this might help but unfortunately it didn't.I either bought a lemon or this product is not useful for thick hair..I will be throwing mine in the garbage,,sadly

Me and my friend were just casually walking by one of the booths and were approached by one of the people and were asked very politely if we would like to get our hair done. So as typical girls we said sure! Worst idea we have ever had! The staff were so pushy, forcing us to buy their products and not letting us leave until we did, every excuse we had they found a way to push even harder for us to buy it! By the end we nearly ran away because we felt so intimidated. They started doing our hair and in between they would shove the products at out faces! Felt really horrible afterwards! :(

Plate broke off in half! Never been dropped only took it out while in use. I went to straighten my hair and as I pulled the straightener down my hair the top part of the straightener bent up breaking it in half ! Neve have I seen Or heard of this before and nope no help in getting a replacement just had to kiss my $250 + dollars goodbye - ouch :( I will never buy one of these from that kiosk again !

I've used the GHD all my life but it unfortunately got stolen. But instead of replacing it with another GHD, I went ahead and got myself a corioliss since the reviews were fairly good. Money wasted!! My hair is more damaged than ever. The front of my hair has broken off and my split ends are horrible. It breaks off your hair so much that it looks as if you've gotten a haircut.Yes it really is that bad. Don't be stupid like me and waste your money. GHD is the best. stick with what you know. Corioliss is garbage.

ive had these straightners 8months.they are now snapped they have been looked after and never dropped yet the spring came out and they snapped on the plastic.my first impressions was the plastic looked very flimsy but I decided to keep them as they did straighten my hair ok.wish I hadn't now and wish id payed the extra for ghds I can only presume the heat caused them to break.i hardly used them as I own wide plate ghds for my own long hair .I bought them as I needed a smaller plate for short haired clients.would not purchase again and would not recommend.wish id of read the reviews seemed 2 be a few that have cracked

I would never recommend this brand to anyone. The sales assistants were very rude. When I asked to speak to the manager in regards to a problem and refunding my lay-by she yelled at me and told me that I was embarrassed to show my face. She yelled at me several times, and when I told her to stop she said Im not yelling im telling you what I think and if you dont like it, its not my problem. After being yelled at for over 5 minutes, she told me that im not her customer and she doesnt have to deal with me and for me to leave. Great customer service yeh? The head office where u file complaints is dodgy you cant even get a call back. I WOULD NOT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE. They do not pride themselves on customer services.

I also got told a life time warranty which is an outright lie but on top of that my hair started to break apart after 3 months using this straightner... I have used a ghd for 7 years and never had my hair break off while brushing...

The straightener itself was fine however after being sold on the fact that it has a lifetime warranty only to find out that they will not honor the warranty past 1year was quite maddening. I spent a substantial amount of money for this product knowing that any manufacturers defects would be covered. I kept my box and receipt safely tucked away for 3 years for no reason. Will NOT be buying Corioliss again!

I was pressured into buying this flat iron. Before this. I had a flat iron that was cheap and lasted longer than this new one. They told me warranty is covered up to 1 year, this will last a long time, it works great! The plate started separating from the base as now I can no longer use it. It is less than 3 years old. I had to jump through hoops and at the end of it, they said they will get me a new one, 50% off. Not happy and will never buy from them again. I bought off of kiosk at West Edmonton Mall. Research before buying!

I wouldn't even give these products a single star if there was a lesser choice. Pushy sales people talked me into buying both the straightener, and the curler at Helensvale Q'Land. They curled my hair but the curles almost immediately fell out when arriving home. The straightener burnt my hair, but when I complained about the products they refuseds to give a refund and were very rude.Don't buy either of these.

I have had this hair straightener for 4 years until it finally gave in...you might be thinking gosh only 4 years but I used it every single day. It went through some pretty tough times (dropping it, leaving it in makeup) but it still worked perfectly. It left my hair shining and it even straightened my hair when it was damp. All my friends loved it and even though it's a bit pricy it's worth every cent!!!

I bought my corioliss at Chadstone shopping centre in Melbourne. Basically it cost over $200 and all it does is create these ugly shirley temple curls. The sales assistant promised it would do all sorts of styles - and yet all I can get are these tight curls that last about an hour before they drop into an even uglier crimp look. At the same time corioliss kept pushing this clip in hair feather for $15. I bought one only to find the Reject Shop were selling them for $4, half an hour later. Avoid!

I love my chi! It works so well, and I had it for about 5 years before it burned out and had to get another one! I know you are thinking only five years? but I used it everyday! Totally got my money's work, straitens every piece of hair, and keeps it srtait all day.

Complete waste of money. The sales people rip you off and when you speakto head office they ignore your telephone calls. They make it look so easy in the store but when you get it home it doesn't work.

Terrible, just terrible! Felt like I was damaging my hair on each pass, even with heat protectant. I wish I had gone for the Karmin G3 salon pro instead of this trash! The setting on this Corioliss leave a lot to be desired and the results are just mediocre.

I like this product. My sister bought this product for me since i told her that i needed a hair straightener, even IF my hair is straight. But it wasn't the straight to the point that I want it to be. Another reason was also because i had a new hair style that required me to have it styled a certain way. I had this hair straightener for 3 years, and it is still working perfectly. I love it. My hair has never been fried or damaged, or have a lot of split ends. If i MUST change my idea of hair straightener then I would probably try Royale, because someone had tired to sell me this product, and it worked like this product, but I think it was a bit better. Maybe it was just me not using my straightener right when curling and re-straightening it again. But i LOVE this product. Nothing has ever happened to it. It is still in perfect condition. =D

I bought the iron, took it home. During the first use, it would intermittenly turn off. I went for an exchange, they said no because it would turn on. It was at Plaza Las Americas.

I have naturally curly hair and live in south Texas. I bought mine at a mall. Pretty pricy but I talked him down and got gell and soaps for free. I have had it over 3 years-- It got a chip on the edge-(I dropped it) so I went out to get an emergency replacement for just in case. Got a Chi and took it straight back. It was pulling my hair out by the tons. Got another brand at T-Jmax and it's ok. Got a Conair Infinity last week and am taking it back too. I am on line looking for where I can find a new CORIOLISS!!!
