“Worst Hair Removal Product In America!!!”

Written on: 04/08/2012

Hey everyone i'm a young lady in her teens getting ready to go to high school so i wanted to take more care of my appearence. Oh and my experience with the Nair product happened yesterday so i am writing this review the next day. I saw that i had a kind of mustache and i didn't want that so i decided to find something to get it off. I didn't want to try shaving because i heard it would make it thicker so i decided to try Nair Facial Hair Remover. I put the product on and i even had a timer to check on it so my timing was on point for the most part. So the first application i put on the hair remover didn't even remove all the hair like it was supposed too (had on for 3 mins)and even during that application i was having some discomfort but i didn't want to mind it because i wanted the hair gone completely. Next i applied the second application and i had a large amount of discomfort and burning almost like i had acid on my face.I noticed some of the remover got on my upper lip so it was extremely bad. When i went to wash the product off even the water hurt my skin! My lip had swollen and it looked like SOME OF MY LIP WAS MISSING!!! NOW MY UPPER LIP IS SWOLLEN, RED, AND BUMPY!!! I had used Nair products before but it never use to do this to me. I don't know whether they made the ingredients stronger or whatever but i'm completely OUTRAGED!!! School is starting in a couple of days now i gotta figure out how to hide this travesty!!! My lip feels itchy sometimes and is always swollen even moving my mouth gives me discomfort. i wear Carmex constantly so it doesn't take to scaring But i will switch to using Pure African Shea Butter instead (less discomfort that way). I haven't experienced any scaring because when the chemical burn happened i immediately applied some Shea Butter on it to stop irritation. (Shea Butter is also a treatment used for burns, removing scaring, soothing irritation, and for medical use in eczema and psoriasis treatment and works amazingly, its even used for lotion). Now i keep my lips moisturized constantly (with the Carmex which i will stop using). This was already a habit for me luckily because i can't stand having dry lips. But if you know someone who wants to try Nair facial products TELL THEM THE AFFECTS BEFORE ITS TO LATE!!! In my opinion this product is a complete and utter health hazard. I feel it should be removed completely from any type of sales. And people should get complete refunds. For those who have gotten fresh burns and even older burns i suggest using Pure African Shea Butter (can found at the hair store and the one i use comes in yellow blocks in a tub because that's its most pure form).
