Nair scare

I decided to try hair removal cream for my upper lip and so I came across Nair hair removal cream for sensitive skin. I applied on a small area to test for the first 24 hours.I had no problems with it: The hair came off, no pain, no red patch and I didn't have any worries about keeping it cool unlike waxing(in waxing I get problems with rashes/acne). It was perfect!

However later the next day my upper lip began to become incredibly itchy and a few red splotches came up even in areas where I didn't apply it. I worried and looked up on the internet for side effects and found out it can trigger the likes of rashes, Hives, dizziness etc. The product did not mention any of these side-effects.

I have had Hives before, it was not fun! Thankfully the splotches seem to have faded after a few hours, but I am not risking using the full product.
