“SWOLLEN FACE AND WEEPING SKIN FROM A SMALL PATCH TEST...”

Written on: 08/08/2011 by aishahbabe (1 review written)

Hi. With regular hair dyes my hairline gets itchy and my skin gets flaky and my ears swell a little. Sometimes it can takes weeks to die down. I have been colouring my hair for years with no problem and this problem only started in the past 6 or 7 months. Any time in the past when I have done a patch test on my arm there has been no reaction but does affect my head?! I bought Sanotint light as it is meant to be safe. Did a little test on my left temple on Saturday. It has now been just over 48 hours from applying 0.5ml of Sanotint Light on my left temple and my skin is weeping and my left side of my face is swollen - so much so that it is getting difficult to see out of my left eye. I am so glad I did the test I almost went ahead and did my entire head because it is claimed that Sanotint light has no ammonia or PPDs. I am scared as I am pregant and I know that there is so much medication I cannot take. I guess I am just going grey and there is nothing I can do.

Just a little update on this review. BEWARE of reading reviews on websites that sell this item. I bought Sanotint Light from Tulipa Hair & Beauty Supplies. I had to create an account to make a purchase and this gave me the right to write a review. Every other review on this webiste was five stars. The review I gave was 1 star. Today I have discovered that Tulipa Hair & Beauty Supplies not only removed my comment but cancelled my account!!! Beware!!

I hope you are OK, but please take the advice, do not dye your hair while pregnant. Not worth the risk. Stick with grey hair and keep yourself and the baby safe.

if you really dont want to go gray use henna ,mixed with tangerine teas , lemon juice, and leave it for 4 hours and your gray turn red orange color , my hair is dark brown and with the redorange color look like you have hightlights on your hair.
