My hair is unbelievably soft since using this black hair dye. Great colour and shine too. I feel normal not tired from PPD regular hair dye. “Do your homework!”

Written on: 27/06/2017

I had "itchy scalp" prior to using Natur Vital Coloursafe hair dye. I had been using other hair dyes for years. I have seen 3 dermatologists regarding this matter (all with varying opinions as to causation). Yes, I could just stop & go grey, but I choose to colour my hair. That being said, each of us has a responsibility to do some homework on this. I have here in front of me the tube of Natur Vital hair colour, the pamphlet included & the box. I do not find any conflicting info on the box as… Read Full Review

“Please do not buy! AVOID!!!”

Written on: 25/05/2017 by ZaraDuffy (1 review written)

Please if you are allergic to ppd like my self please do not buy this. It has an ingredient in it called toluene 2,5 diamine this is a sister of ppd it is exactly the same. When I called to complain there customer service is none existent they were so rude. Do not risk your life using this product, this company is worse then the company's selling ppd hair dyes as they are misleading customers into using a product that could potentially kill them know full well ehat they are doing. … Read Full Review

“Best hair dye I have ever used!”

Written on: 06/01/2017 by hnLevesque124 (1 review written)

For years I have suffered from extremely bad reactions to hair dyes, many of which have resulted in having to receive medical treatment. However, I have continued to try out different brands convinced that there must be a product out there that would not cause such bad reactions. I have now found one that does not and I am delighted with the results. This is a fantastic product and I shall be using it for many years to come… Read Full Review

“Not good...ITCHING”

Written on: 13/10/2016 by pmrajeshkumar (1 review written)

Before buying this item, i was searching to find the PPD free hair color to avoid itching in my body, whenever i use the usual hair color(l'oreal) i have itching for two or three days in my body. Finally i found Natural Vital(ppd free hair color), after applying i got itching for two days. Do use this product if you have allergic complaint. Price of product also expensive. “Completely misleading”

Written on: 06/07/2016 by positivemindbodysoul (1 review written)

I cannot believe I did not think to read the reviews before I purchased this item! I guess it must have been my absolute sheer excitement of finally finding a PPD free product I can use after previously having an extremely serious reaction to another dye. This is seriously disappointing to the point I am absolutely terrified to even bother risking trying this product. How could a brand be so cruel to risk other peoples lifes by selling a product falsely advertising it to be free of PPD when in… Read Full Review

If you are allergic to PPD, don't use it! Ingredients on the paper box is different from the ingredients on the Cream tube. It says that there is NO PDD, but actually on the colour cream tube you can read " contains phenylenediamines ( PPD) . Be very careful!… Read Full Review

As stated on the website and the packaging a 48 hour patch test is essential prior to application, this will indicate if you are allergic to any ingredient in the Coloursafe formula ,the Coloursafe hair dye is aimed at the consumer who wants to AVOID ammonia ,resorcinols ,parabens and PPD . A person with a prior PPD allergy may react to a wide range of ingredients from shampoo to leather spray and we would recommend our semi permanent colour to any person who has a PPD allergy. Coloursafe is the most gentle permanent hair colour available as the most aggressive ingredients have been replaced or removed .

Naturvital did not reply directly to the original comment : the paper box said no ppd, but the cream tube said containing ppd. so the actual question is - does it contains / not contain ppd !

“wrong way”

Written on: 30/10/2015 by Lynne77 (1 review written)

Hi just taught i would leave a quick comment as i have using this product for many years and i am very happy with the way my hair has turned out . I beg the question that the people who are leaving some negative reviews are not reading the instructions correctly or are not looking in to what the product offers. So i will just leave this little comment for people to read. Whilst Coloursafe is PPD free it is possible that people with PPD allergies may also be allergic to other chemicals in… Read Full Review

Be very careful using this product I used it last week by my Hairdresser its not safe as I am allergic to PPD and had quite a bad reaction to it. “worse reaction than from regular dye!”

Written on: 19/05/2015 by Nicholsonjx122 (1 review written)

I've done many tests on the inside of my arm since I'd a reaction 12 years ago. If a friend was dyeing their hair, I'd dab a little just to see if the reaction I had was a once off etc. To no avail tho. Id have the exact reaction time and time again :( But the test for this natyr vital was the most swollen most itchy test I've ever done. Of all the tests, this is the only one that actually scarred me after at the testing area. Full on PPD dye didn't do as much damage. Frightening… Read Full Review

We are sorry to hear you had a reaction to our hair dye ,but i assume your friend had no reaction and safely applied the colour. You dont say how you acquired your PPD allergy .At Coloursafe we try to ensure our customers will not get a PPD allergy in future as we have replaced this chemical with a far less aggressive ingredient that does the same function in the colouring process .Coloursafe is the only permanent hair colour that has removed or replaced the most aggressive ingredients normally found in other permanent hair colours .

“2 years now! and no problems with this product”

Written on: 05/04/2015 by LukaMiranda (1 review written)

Two years ago, after many years of colouring my hair, I developed an allergic reaction to hair colour. After a lot of searching I realised it could be PPD. I tried this product in light blonde. My natural colour is quite dark, but I have a lot of grey which I wanted to cover. It did not lighten my darker hair but covered the grey OK. So now I pre-lighten my hair with a weak bleach-shampoo and then apply the colour. I have lovely blonde hair, even my hair-dresser has commented on the… Read Full Review

“Massive Allergic Reaction”

Written on: 18/03/2015 by MarieFlood121 (1 review written)

I got this product because I have had a "swollen head" reaction in the past with a hair dye product I had used previously. I ordered the black and luckily I did a skin patch test first, on my arm (inner elbow) and behind my ear, putting a tiny smear in each place. Less than 24 hours later I have had a massive reaction in both places. My arm is itchy and red and my ear lobe is swollen and I have a rash behind my ear. I would not recommend this to anyone who suffers from hair dye allergies and… Read Full Review

“Love this Hair dye”

Written on: 09/03/2015 by Noen104 (1 review written)

I felt I had to review this product as I'm so pleased with it. This product is much safer than the ppds from what I've researched. As for the condition of my hair after using this I honestly cant believe how soft and shiny it is. I've been using shop bought dyes for years which have been great but have left my hair quite dry especially on the ends. My husband keeps commenting on the shine and keeps running his fingers through my hair, which is annoying. I've also been using the chestnut… Read Full Review

“scared to try, but everything was fine”

Written on: 09/11/2014 by sonia1991 (1 review written)

First of all I want to say, I am not sure if I have a real allergy to PPD. I haven't colored my hair much before. When I was home in Australia my hair stylist has done ombre and balayage type of things before but I have never put anything on my scalp before. Now I am living in Hong Kong and recently tried a regular hair dye just off the shelf from the drug store and put it all over my head. It wasn't anything serious but I did start to feel a burning/tingling feeling on my scalp the moment the… Read Full Review

“Good enough but so misleading.”

Written on: 09/07/2014

I bought this as I wanted a PPD free product, and no I'm not allergic to it, but that's not to say that this will always be the case as you can develop this allergy at any time.It states ppd free on the box but when you read the small print it says it does contain ppd in a similar form. THIS IS SO WRONG!! It should not be allowed, someone could DIE!!Personally I quite liked the product,it did not cover grey 100% but very few dyes I use do.The smell was pleasant and it did not drip. I used the… Read Full Review
