Written on: 19/07/2014 by Jaxp220 (1 review written)

well i brought this dye a week ago to go a different shade of brunette i done a strand test and a skin test to make sure it was compatable with my hair and skin both were fine so a week after these tests i use the hairdye it didn't itch while it was processing but after i washed it all out i came up with a rash all on my scalp and at the back of my neck it was incredibly painful but the colour did come out beautiful though… Read Full Review

“Good enough but so misleading.”

Written on: 09/07/2014

I bought this as I wanted a PPD free product, and no I'm not allergic to it, but that's not to say that this will always be the case as you can develop this allergy at any time.It states ppd free on the box but when you read the small print it says it does contain ppd in a similar form. THIS IS SO WRONG!! It should not be allowed, someone could DIE!!Personally I quite liked the product,it did not cover grey 100% but very few dyes I use do.The smell was pleasant and it did not drip. I used the… Read Full Review

I discover some rashes on the back of my neck and it's very itchy. I'm so scared. Hope nothing serious will happen. Very bad product!!! Should have tested it first on my skin!!!!!… Read Full Review

“Good and safe. ”

Written on: 19/05/2013

Over the past 20 years I have tried most popular regular haircolours but they made my eyes water and I occasionally felt some tingling. I have used Naturvital for 6-8 months. It does not stink of ammonia or make your eyes water like other haircolours. It does not itch or burn. The colour comes out slightly darker than indicated, but this is because it does not lighten your hair first with high levels of ammonia and peroxide. Instead its like Henna - it layers/enhances your existing… Read Full Review

Written on: 03/04/2013

After years of searching I finally thought I'd found a dye I could use as I'm alergic to PPD! Thank god I didn't put this on my skin!!!! I purchased this product and was worried bout putting it on my skin Before I carried out a skin test I read since reviews in this product And frankly the information I found was scary! What was the product without PPD that you like? Does it have toulene-2 or ammonia? I am using a PPD free product but it is obviously some other ingredient causing me major grief and likely Toulene-2 or ammonia. Thanks.

I too had a allergic reaction to hair color several years ago. Tried at least 6 different salons using different brands of permanent color and still had the blistering, itching and rashes. I have been using a product called Palette by Nature. Absolutely no problem with the product. I have a lot of grey on top and it does cover it better but not completely. It's two step process which can be a pain and you will want to invest in a soft bonnet hair dryer as you will need to apply heat for 40 minutes. But, just grab a book or work on the computer while it works. I usually have to apply every two weeks to keep the grey from being as noticeable. Have light brown hair and the grey turns a dark blonde, but it's better than being totally grey. Nice color for the rest of my hair. It is expensive $25.00 a box, but it's the only alternative I can find. Hope this post helps. Good luck.

“Im allergic to PPD”

Written on: 13/03/2013 by HollieRosa (1 review written)

I thought I had finally found a product that was safe to use as I am allergic to para-phenylenediamine, but no, This product is no different to any hair dyes that contain the stuff! They should'nt label it as PPD free as it uses toulene 2 5 diamine sulfate as a substitute which contains some of the same components as PPD, I did a patch test on the inside of my arm and reacted exactly the same as I did with PPD, I would not recommend this product to anyone who suffers from the allergy, It is a… Read Full Review

If like me, you are also allergic to hair dye/PPD don't waste your money on this product... From what I read on other reviews this uses something very similar to PPD so what's the point!!!??? Thankfully I did the patch test, now my arm has lots of little weeping blisters where I applied a little bit of coloring cream, so yep, allergic to this one too obviously! But I find it disgraceful that they use a misleading marketing strategy to sell their product, why give hope to people like me when… Read Full Review

“I reacted to this product!”

Written on: 30/10/2012

I never used to react to normal hair dyes until after I gave birth! My body obviously changed and as a result, I have been reacting to hair dyes which cause swelling around my face, glands near my ears which become painful and my body itches too! When I came across this PPD free dye, I thought my nightmares had ended!! Unfortunately not. PPD is known to be the chemical that causes reactions in some people which may well be the case. However, Natur Vital, even though is PPD free, still… Read Full Review

Hello again, for those that have read my previous message, I have since spoken with an organic hair dye company called Pallete by Nature and they have told me that "The color you have used contains PTD which can cause the same allergic reaction as PPD".

So basically, even though Natur Vital say its PPD free, it fails to stress the fact that it has other chemicals in the ingredience that may also cause reactions!!

WARNING TO THOSE SUFFERS OUT THERE!!!!

Hi, it does say that it contains PTD - it also says that there is a 50% chance that sensitive people may react to it. you should read before you try products... or review them.

And I don't suppose you have the PPD allergy yourself do you, otherwise there is no way you would fight for a company that can and do get round the red tape surrounding the dangers of PPD and its sister chemicals that cause the same reactions. I hope your very satisfied with working for a company that are dangerously selling a product that could actually kill somebody, all for profit!!! and also if you read peoples comments you will see thankfully they have tested themselves, like advised and still got huge reactions.

Unfortunately the more you dye your hair the more your allergy will take hold, the allergy will be for life. I hate it and cant cope with growing grey gracefully. Stop using anything that you mix together instantly, check everything and google PPD because the chemical they use in this product you are reacting to is the sister chemical to PPD so its just as bad and toxic. the only thing that ha worked for me is by LUSH and its in a henna block,. stinks vile, awful to use but the rsults are good and last about 6 weeks. Even siome henna products have PPD in its the PPD that makes the colour stay in, its on other things to like photo copier ink etc the darker the colour the more PPD is in it

“Playing with fire”

Written on: 29/08/2012 by flounder1 (2 reviews written)

I purchased this hair dye because it stated PPD Free I am very allergic to PPD. I was so excited about the prospect of being able to dye my hair at last and really thought this product was going to be OK. THANK GOD I DID A PATCH TEST because had I not I would have been at the hospital in intensive care!!! The patch test I did was no bigger than the size of the end of a pencil and within half an hour I had a 2 1/2 " blister on the back of my neck. I have since contacted the company who have now… Read Full Review

My daughter also bought this product as she is allergic to PPD...luckily she also done a patch test as by the next morning her arm had swollen to double its size with two huge bright red patches. Nearly a week on now and her arm is less swollen but her skin is still red and blistered . She returned the dye to boots who not only refunded her money but also gave her free anthistimines and cream to put on...they also said she would be contacted by their customer service team...shes heard nothing so far. After now reading the above review i will be getting in touch with the company itself...also maybe Watchdog would be interested to know their marketing strategy?

Exactly this is why I brought it off the internet because there were no claims what so ever about any ingredients being related to PPD it is so misleading. I really hope you continue to get better. i did try and put my email addy in for you but obviously rules are rules and this was not allowed.
