Joined for few months on a 'no contract' basis after having baby. Joined as gym opened late in the evening which suited me as tried to fit a workout into my hectic days. Arriving with over an hour till closing time i would find 90% of machines turned off... Not exactly welcoming. On one workout i had a member of staff giving the running machine next to me a 'deep' clean with the antibac spray. Ensuring it was spraying into the air as i was struggling to finish my workout...The gym was all but empty and i think it was his subtle way of trying to get me out quickly... Not exactly polite :0( staff generally cocky, young and unfriendly... Who never bothered to speak and pass the time of day unless your in the 'in crowd'.
When i tried to cancel, i was told i didnt get it in before the 17th of the month. So was liable for a further £67... This was not pointed out to me when i joined. I asked specifically did i have to give a certain amount of notice and the sales person said no... Very misleading.
So if your thinking of joining... Dont bother, choose a proper gym with friendly and truly knowledgable, experienced staff.
