worst gym in the northwest

Regarding the bolton branch.

This company is an absolute joke. They are more trouble than theyre worth. Through my time here after dealing with different people each time, it has become apparent each one of their staff is trained to lie if needed, to bring in the money. They even had to bring in a new manager last year with the amount of complaints being made.

This gym has taken money from my account on 3 separate occasions without my consent.

1) This was when I was quitting the gym 2 years ago as I was moving to university. I had finally managed to get the gym to promise me that my account would be cancelled (they had been attempting to ignore me in a bid to keep my monthly payments coming in even though I had no contract whatsoever keeping me tied to them for longer). They continued to take a further 2 months of payment before I realised my account hadnt been suspended as promised. I still have not go this money back.

2)I rejoined the gym after finishing university last year because it was the only gym that I could attend so early in the morning, before work. After a few months I told them I would be going on holiday for 2 months. They suggested that instead of quitting (I had a rolling contract) I could instead pay £25 and freeze the account. I agreed. They charged me this £25 and then continued charging me the normal fee for the next month too, which was supposed to have been frozen! It took me 4hrs of arguing with the manager himself before they gave me the next month for free (they refused to give me the money back).

3) Just this month I have realised they have charged me 2x the monthly fee. I have been trying to get in touch for a week now and each time I am told someone will ring me back but no one ever does. My final exam has only just finished and so I aim to go in now personally to see what they are playing at.

In conclusion, stay away from this horrible gym. There is a reason why they were exposed on local newspapers...
