To be fair I can't really comment on what is inside the gym because after being a member (supposedly) for 2 weeks I still have not manage to get in!!!!! When I arrived first time very excited,I saw a queue of people struggling to get in. Well the door was not working so didn't think much of it. However I could not find even 1 member of staff willing to help they were all too busy. So I went home because I couldn't even enter the changing room. Send an e-mail no reply, tried the gym and found... (read more)

Tried to get into the Halifax gym to look around, no answer to bell for 10 mins, looked nice enough, so joined on there terminal, got pin to enter, and found a member of staff to show me around, didnt have any change to get a padlock to piped out to my car to leave my things, went back to the gym, used for about an hour, then went home. Got a email next to say my account has been suspended due to CCTV activity??, rang number in email, told I have to go to the gym between 9-5pm and see the... (read more)

I cringe at the very thought of Pure Gym. A room full of sub standard equipment, with a bit of (unwatched) CCTV and no staff to speak of save a few surly personal trainers who will only talk to you if you buy personal training.
You get what you pay for - which is a complete dissapointment.

I actually liked to the Halifax gym, but agree with that the staff/customer services do need to sort out there attitude problem, also found out that the Halifax manager suspends 5 people a week and doesn't have time to ring them, because its not his problem, he gets paid not to do anything.

Tried to get in to pure gym Mansfield to have a look around rang bell for 10 min and no one came so rang head office and they told me someone would come and let me in after another 10 min of waiting and ringing the bell still no one came so decided to not bother. Rang the head office again and they asked me to join on line and I would be able to get a key code to get in err don't think so I wanted to have a look round before joining you don't buy a tv without looking at it before buying it.... After I finished my workout I went to get changed. In the changing rooms there was a guy who was obviously a bit full of himself. He was standing around making a comotion. He was then talking on his phone, and next thing I knew he was in my face, screaming at me: "Have you got an effing problem mate?" I said I didn't to which the guy pushed me and called me a few derogatory names I quickly got changed and left, not wanting to get into any more confrontation, to which the guy shouted... (read more)

This has got to be one of the best gyms i've ever been with. Firstly, its great for price.. Considering i pay £18.99 I still think its worth the payments. My cousins we're lucky enough to get it at the £10.99 but still! Most gyms these days are charging from £25.00 The atmosphere is so relaxed. You don't feel like your been watched or an amount of pressure too work out. I've got confidence issues and previous gyms i've been too i felt really paranoid but everyone here are just friendly... My wallet was stolen a couple of weeks ago and the thief used my bank card (sort code and account number) to set-up a membership with this online gym. So much for security checks!!!! This caused me a lot of grief and I can't believe it is so easy to use somebody else's bank details. Well it shouldnt be. Pure gym you need to tighten up on your security checks . (read more)

I joined Pure Gym around 3 or 4 months ago before they even opened their new gym in my city. I have now been using the Pure Gym for a few months and can not find a single fault. The gym is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This means that I no longer have to worry about fitting my life around the opening times like I did with my previous gym. I can go whenever suits me, at whatever time. There is a huge range of new, modern and easy-to-use equipment. The main room consists mostly of... (read more)

A lack of customer care is fundamental here. If someone had been on hand to explain the issue with you pin as it could have been a reasonable excuse for it not working! then this would have been a different outcome!
Imagine there being no staff available to help if you had an issue with something a lot more serious!
AVOID!
