The reward schemes & policies are a complete joke!

After reading all the negative reviews on this site I just felt I needed to add my experience to this list. I joined Nuffield in Wandsworth after my daughter died and was determined to turn my life around and was utterly blown away by what a joke all the policies and reward schemes are. To begin with we got none of the promised guest passes and sign up rewards like a free month and were also told we were signing up on a family membership. When we queried all this, we were told the person who'd signed us up had been fired so they couldn't honour anything he'd said! When my daughter then turned 6 they told us there was no such thing as a family membership and tried to start charging us for her too!

When I joined the gym I was quite overweight and hadn't exercised in about 10 years so had borderline high blood pressure, high cholesterol etc. so needless to my first health check wasn't great. When I did another after about 5 months my blood pressure was perfect, no more cholesterol issues and I'd lost over 2 stone. Basically I had improved in every single department but somehow I didn't make the grade for the £100 reward??? after numerous arguments with them I then suggested if there had been no improvement I should be able to cancel my policy as their website suggests and this time they then started quoting all the improvements I'd made!!!

After a year they automatically signed me up for a new contract so I had to give them three months notice before leaving,they put fees up without notifying us, we never received any of the bonuses for signing up friends etc etc etc. I would really love to sign up to a gym but after my experience with Nuffield I'm just sticking to Cycling and running.
