I went for a trial class at the Harrogate Ladies Workout Express gym in Jan. I then signed up for a 1 week free trial which would then bring me to a membership. However I was immediatly charged the £35 joining fee and had to pay the first month there and then. I was basically railroaded into getting my membership there and then.

The staff were rude and unfriendly and had no interest in showing me any of the circuits or the machinary.

I soon decided to cancel my membership, but being an idiot I had not read the terms and conditions and didnt know I had to sign up for a year as it was never pointed out to me, and they didnt exactly give you much time to read over the contract. I have ended up being referred to a collections agency and have had to pay out nearly £400 in fees.

I have used a lot of gyms and other sporting facilities and I have NEVER been treated like this. I think it is absolutely disgusting.
