Cheating about cancellation

Signed for a membership for 6 months and added my husband to my contract as Adult membership, which mainly means that he is only paying for month in front and can stop his membership anytime with 30 days notice. Have cancelled his membership in February, so his last payment had to come off at end of February (for April). End of April have cancelled my membership as well (got pregnant and faxed a copy to prove my pregnancy), so mine had to end in May with the last payment in April. But at end of April both of the payments had been debited. I did call Head office and been told that I cancelled both memberships only at end of April. When I gave reference number for my husbands cancellation, was put on hold, than after few minutes later call was terminated by La Fitness. I would like just to make aware everyone just choose another gym. Would never ever recommend anyone to sign any contracts with them.
