Have been a member here for 6 years because the location is convenient for me - but I have to say in that time LA Fitness Southgate has gone from average to poor, so I'm thinking of going elsewhere.
Their focus seems to be entirely on attracting new members. Opening hours have been cut so it now closes at 4pm at weekends (although it was always still busy after 4), the pool has become unavailable during peak times as it is given over to childrens swimming lessons, the water fountain has been removed from the gym, and weights and benches are never tidied and generally never put back after use...
The (mens) locker room is dirty, and freezing cold in the winter, and boiling hot in the summer. The reception staff are occasionally friendly but more often surly. I have filled in 3 'comment' cards about the non-availability of the pool and never had a reply.
