No consideration for costumers

I took a membership about 2 years ago, mostly because of my interest in attending a body balance class. The teacher was wonderful and the class well attended. Despite this, LA Fitness decided to scrap body balance classes after Christmas with no warning nor consultation of members. When I protested, I was told that it was a head office decision which would not be reversed. I contacted the membership department at head office to argue that my membership was useless as I cannot do equipment/machine exercise nor high impact classes for medical reason. I was told that I would need a doctor's letter to cancel my membership with no notice. My surgery is asking for £50 to provide me with this letter. When I phone back LA fitness to explain the situation, they wouldn't do anything and were not apologetic for having canceled classes. So, no other alternative than paying for a membership that I cannot use until my month notice is served.
LA Fitness has shown no consideration for its costumers with a total absence of communication, no flexibility or understanding of individual situations, and no respect for the users.
