My daughter joined her local Fitness First gym at the Fresher's Fair. They set up her direct debit there and then, and it was only afterwards that she realised how far away the gym was. To cancel her membership she had to make a trip out to the gym to sign some forms, with the time and expense that this meant. Wonder how many students get past the 10 day cooling off period before they realise how impractical it is to get to some of the gyms if you don't have your own transport. Be careful in your first weeks of college.
