“Short & sharp = quick results”

★★★★☆

written by JemLondon on 02/04/2013

I bought the 12 day programme at Harley Street to tone up before my weddings a few years ago. If you are like me, EducoGym will appeal and suit you if-
You are NOT good at longer term, slower programs that need more patience, endurance and time to see results
You are better at short sharp bursts of both exercises and very strict but short term, EASY TO FOLLOW diets
You get a thrill from seeing results quickly
You like interval training/training to the max for short sessions.

I’m not overweight and was already a 10/12 dress size but wanted to be more 8/10 and really toned.
What can I say? The guys are really friendly, Rich especially. They will weigh and mess rue you so you know its working. Each session targets 1 of 3 groups- bum/thighs, shoulders/chest arms/back (may have got the last 2 mixed up a bit but you get the essence!). you move, guided by the instructor around the weight carousel and it will take 15 mins, followed by 5 mins of intense abs exercises on a mat on your own.
Bang- its over, you get changed (don’t need a shower) and leave. Feeling slightly weak at the knees and mighty smug as you walk past people smoking and tucking into plates of chips at local pubs on way back to Ox Circus tube!
After a few days I was worried it wasn’t working (as was just eating cheese & avocados!) so had my weigh in again and had already lost 3 pounds. You HAVE to stick to the eating plan for it to work. This is super high fat/protein and zero carbs, but its do-able and you feel great.
All in all I probably lost near ½ a stone and went back again the following year.

The weights are all mostly machines you will find in any good gym yes- but difference sis the way its all in 1 carousel so easy to move around, the guys are with you to encourage you along, demonstrate how to move/position and set up the next machine to your exact requirements so you can go straight onto it and this means you are doing every movement perfectly, without a gap between and in no time. If only the cost was significantly less- i.e. Say a 10 day booster booster programme for £50-£75 I’d sign up again before every holiday/big event, but at over £200 I can’t afford it alas!
