I hadn't been told there would be a £20 joining fee on the two occasions that I went in to talk to them about the membership, then when I went in to join they stung me with a joining fee. Two days later my partner joined and there was no joining fee.

When I called to complain about this, I was told that as they are a 'commercial company' it is their right to take the joining fee on and off as they wish, and didn't feel like I should have been told about it before hand.

Calling them was like talking to brick walls designed to take complaints from customers without budging.
