Had to cancel membership due to relocation, unbeknown to myself there was an issue with my final direct debit and the first I heard of it was a demanding letter from their debt collectors. On realising this mistake I tried calling and emailing the gym and their head office. As although I wasn't disputing the d/d I wasn't happy they had failed to contact me and just instigated debt collectors instead. To date none of my calls have been returned as promised by the various people on reception and no response to my emails to head office. So my only regret now is that in the years I was a member I didn't complain more about the broken equipment and out of service jacuzzis, as they obviously don't care about customer service and for this reason I have no hesitation in NOT recommending DW Sport.

Exactly same just happened to myself. The bad PR and publicity they are generating for the sake of a few pounds with this 'heavies tactic' will ultimately cost them more in lost custom, bad reviews and animosity towards them. It costs them more to generate a new client than it does to lose one for a month! Not good business tactics on their behalf.
