Incompetent staff

I signed up for a 6 month contract and later saw online that when you sign up you get a 'free month'. When I contacted them to ask why I didnt get the free month they said this was only for 12 month contracts.

I asked to sign up to the 12 month contract and was asked to pay an amount on my next visit to pay for the differences I owed. When I next went to the gym I'd since decided not to go ahead and told the receptionist that. She wiped the 'due' amount from my account and let me in as usual. No reference of any 'owed amounts'.

When I came to later cancel my 6 month contract I received a voicemail almost a month after my letter was sent in saying that I had signed up to 12 months and I owed them money! Turns out they had extended me to a 12 month contract regardless of their receptionist being told I didnt want to continue!

I argued this and was told by an Admin Manager that I was being unfair and was told it was my fault as I changed my mind!! Yes I changed my mind twice, but that is a customers prerogative?! A company should keep on top of it's customers requests!!!

Would not recommend this gym. Over priced for what it is anyway and you can rarely get on a machine as its always over crowded.
