I attempted to cancel my membership with Bannatyne's about a week ago. I was aware of the 3 month cancellation policy (even if you're out of contract), so as soon as I found out I was moving I notified the club. I was advised that my last payment would go out on the 1st December and I could use the club until the end of December. I assumed that it would be 3 months from the date of cancellation, but low and behold, it's not. Apparently it's 3 months from your next payment, so if you cancelled 1 day after your last direct debit, you would still have 3 full payments to make. This basically means that it can take up to 4 months to cancel your membership. So here's hoping you never have to suddenly move and if you do, get ready to be ripped off by this company.
