Gran Turismo is a racing game, published by Sony Computer Entertainment in 1997 for the PlayStation console. The game has started a series, and to date has devolped up to 10 sequels.

The are not many bad points. But I have to say that to complete all the events you need to repeat some events many times to buy the car you need for the next event. Many of them expensive later in the game. Don't try to raise the money by going online, as the prize money is not good. And it is better to repeat an off line event as far as I am concerned. This game is phenomenal. The graphics are amazing and there is so much detail, the handling is so realistic, the cars look and sound great too.

As I recall, I got Gran Tourismo 4 back when it first came out.
I'd previously played Gran Tourismo 3: A Spec and the concept cars version (I can't remember the name) and found them to be very good, so no surprises then when I stuck this into the PS2 - right away I found it to be a slight improvement on its predecessors, but not too much had been changed so there was still the Gran Tourismo feel to the game.
