I'll keep this brief.
Things that 1st Place excelled at:
* Sending me on interviews wholly unprepared
* Sending me on interviews at the last minute
* Forgetting who I was regularly (tip: even if you are running a graduate factory, as a recruitment agency at least try to pretend like you know your candidates)
* Offering me interviews at places I'd already interviewed at unsuccessfully
Where 1st Place can improve:
* Everywhere.
* Letting their candidates know whether they've been successful at interviews. I'm guessing that I was unsuccessful during my interviews in late June. Not that they have been in contact.
* Making their candidates feel like they're not just a number
* Be more like Brook Street. A recruitment agency that managed to place a graduate with two years work experience in a space of six days. Something that 1st Place failed to do in six weeks.
In conclusion, don't waste your time. But they'll undoubtedly waste yours.
