This Girls Aloud, Call The Shots song is amazing, a real great track.
With a verse-bridge-chorus, verse-bridge-chorus, middle 8-chorus-fadeout layout, it is a more normal single for Girls Aloud to release, unlike previous singles such as Sexy! No No No and Biology.
It's not a ballad, yet not up-tempo. It is a feel good mid-tempo track with Nicola on glittering and shimmering vocals on the middle 8, ...

Girls Aloud's album Tangled Up opens with the mid-tempo Call The Shots which is amazing and sees Nicola on a sparkling middle-8 which gives her a chance to shine. Close To Love is the next track which is the total opposite, fast club banger with an even share of vocals, and "we're gonna need more wood!".

Girls Aloud have hit the jackpot. Call The Shots is bound to reign in more fans. If this is what it's like, then I can't imagine what the album sounds like (Tangled Up) Top 3 at least, hopefully numero uno! Great work

No No No starts quite slowly and mysterious with Cheryl singing the song then moves into the fast, energetic and rather crazy chorus followed by a repeated chorus, this time changed by a vocoder. Moving into the first verse Kimberley and Nadine duel the verse as it moves into the bridge. With the vocals being shared and layered with Cheryl, Sarah and Nadine.
