My experience of being a Grattan customer has been very stressful and left me feeling extremely frustrated and angry.
I have been charged for items i did not order or receive, for instance. The last time this happened, i ordered one ps3 bundle. This cost £399.90.
They sent me one and then charged me for six! I was overcharged £1999.95!
It took nearly a year and me going to the finacial ombudsman service before they put it right. in that time they tried every trick in the book to make me pay for six bundles. Admin fees, blackmail, debt collectrs and bad credit ratings. i have never missed a payment with them, yet i was recieveing an avalanche of threatening letters.
All the time they ignored my letters and emails. On the phone, they would tell me one thing and then do the opposite. This company used to be good, until the americans took it over. Now its the pits.
They treat customers who pay extortionate interest terms on their goods, better then customers who pay no interest, but straight away.
And watch out for the code and offers scam, you order the goods online with the code/offer dicount included, only to find on the statement no discount has been added. this is because you can only use one code at a time, and byenow paylater terms are included as a offer code.
Customer service is worse then terrible.
My advice to anyone thinking of using Grattan catalogue is DONT. save up and pay cash or go with someone like Argos. Grattan prices are about 20% more expensive then high street prices
