“You're paying for their petrol”

There is a swale heating "engineer" living on my estate. He uses his van as a family vehicle, taking his wife and child out on trips, to the shops and generally back and forth. He drives past my house up to 8 times a day. Lord knows why but he seems to never be at work and just driving around at a ridiculous speed for an estate with young children playing out. Why my council use this company is beyond me! Unfortunately we are tied into this contract have been without water and heating for 2 weeks which is no joke with 3 small children have had an ongoing fault with this boiler for years and have been fobbed off at every tern not all of there engineers are useless but thay are few and far between and are treated just as bad as the customers something has to be done about this company before someone gets seriously hurt supervisors are rude and arrogant… Read Full Review

Absolutely disgraceful service, been waiting for a call out all day Bank Holiday Sunday only to be told at 9.15pm when I telephoned them that they cannot attend as the call out engineer does not have the correct equipment and then told that I have to wait in all day until midnight on bank holiday Monday again. Issues with my boiler has been going on since December 2013 when I was told engineers I need a new boiler, since then they have done everything to avoid this. I am disgusted in the service we have received! Over the last 31 days we have had 23 days without heating or hot water despite many visits from swale. They never seem to actually do any thing although they claim to. On one occasion I waited at home until 3pm just for the engineer to say he wasn't gas registered so he wasn't allowed to touch the boiler! What an absolute shambles!! “Go with another company!”

Told an engineer would be with us between 12 and 5. Turned up at 8.35pm - no communication from the company to say they would be late. Charged call out fee for engineer to be here 2 minutes and tell us we need a new board after we'd looked up the error code and told the engineer it was the fan. 5 minutes after he left, got a phone call to say the engineer had looked at the wrong error code and we need a new fan which is cheaper than a board! Terrible..... Etc etc.....! Iv wasted 20+ days annul leave and have waiting in for swale on 30-40+ occassions over the last 3 year's! My advice CANCEL YOUR CONTRACT , TAKE THE HIT AND FIND SOMEONE ELSE! You will save yourself a lot of time and effort! Ps I'm not even remotely joking! “Poor Communication”

I work for a large housing association and had issue with boiler tripping off for over 8 months. Engineers come and go, state unable to help with issue, work booked in however we are not advise of when they will be attending. I would not recommend, time keeping is appalling, one contractor threw his rubbish over office car park, lack of communication when booking in work. Finally issue was fixed which ended up being a fuse needing replacing..8 months for them to figure this out. … Read Full Review

I am with a large Insurance company and my boiler included in the policy. they passed onto Swale Heating to do the repair. They told me that the Enigneer would call today between 12 and 5 . By 3oclock I rang their service department I rang for almost 10 minutes before my call was answered . “Rude Customer Service, Lies and Leave you waiting.... ”

Swale heating had told me that my call out would be between the hours of 9am and 5pm so I needed to take the day off. I took the day off because both my heating and hot water has gone. I was then told at 4pm that an engineer would not attend before 8.30pm which is a total disgrace. I spoke to Paulette in the Service Centre who was very rude and refused to listen to any of the issues that I had. This is actually the first review I have ever left for anything! However I am so appalled to see bad reviews for this company. After having British Gas round to quote for my boiler two years ago, thought I would get second opinion from Swale, could not believe they came in over a third cheaper. Very suspect, three glowing reviews on the same day. Every single reviewer thus far has given 1 star and had a torrid experience with Swale but all of a sudden in one day they are a 5 star company!! Give me a break.

Having been with British Gas for a number of years out of pure convenience, we decided that in these austere times to shop around for a better deal. I recently experienced a boiler breakdown and after scouring the internet, thought it best to approach Swale Heating given they are a local and reputable business. From point of contact when reporting my breakdown Swale Heating have been friendly to deal with. “Words fail me!! You need to avoid!”

We paid for the annual service contract and booked for a Wednesday between 8am and 12pm. Got the kids up earlier than usual, made sure heating was off at least 2 hours before 8am as requested in letter and arranged for someone else to take the kids to school. 12.45pm no-one had turned up so I rang Swale. “inefficiency at it's best”

after purchasing a property with a six year old Alpha boiler we contacted Swale to ask if they would provide us with a maintenance contract. The answer was yes, so we sent a cheque for a years cover on the boiler which was promptly cashed and Swale Heating arranged a date for an engineer to call and service the boiler.
