“A Very Efficient Service”

I was the last call for the service engineer so we had a cup of tea whilst he worked. He did a very detailed service and made very sure that the boiler was working as efficiently as it could.He cleaned it thoroughly such that the boiler is working better. Nice guy! There was nothing remiss about his thorough service however I did have to call Swale to get the service. I was surprised at this as they normally send a letter stating when the engineer is coming. “Really friendly and efficient ”

Really friendly engineer, was running a little late but rang and double check if it was OK to come later or did I want to rebook?.he was friendly and covered his work boots ( taking notice of the no shoes please sign) bonus as he didn't just trudge in in dirty workboots on the carpet, he was very kind towards my intrigued 4 year old talking to him about the boiler and what his up too. “Unable to deliver on any level!”

I paid up front for Swale Heating to provide servicing and boiler/system cover to for a rental property. The result was two no shows with no communication to my tenants whatsoever. When they did finally show up they said a part was needed and had to be ordered and the tenants would be contacted next day. Nothing heard for 3 days. When I finally got through to talk to someone ( at least a 15 minute wait every time I've called ) the person who could help had gone home and there was no one… Read Full Review

“No Heating or Hot Water for ONE WEEK until SWALE repaired”

Boiler broke down on a Tuesday. Swale came out on Wednesday and said he would be back on the next day. Wife took day off work next day for Swale to come but did not turn up. I phoned Swale and was told he was not coming. The earliest he could come back was the following Monday which left us without no boiler for ONE WEEK with only emergency hot water and NO HEATING with temperatures down to freezing. We had our Valiant boiler supplied, installed and commissioned by Swale Heating and we have recently discovered that the chimney flue that exits through the garage roof is leaking when it rains. Despite explaining the problem to the online chat line, the engineer they sent didn't have a ladder so he couldn't get onto the roof. didnt stick to times given, waited in all day and was told someone had been when nobody knocked or rang my door bell! Was told someone would come at 17:00 latest they arrived at 18:30! The engineer left me with no hot water to bath my poorly 1 year old and also left tools on my front such as a screw driver next to my front door! We had a new boiler through Swale! We liked the sales, installation and continued sales service with the routine service yearly! I won't say we didn't have problems but they were not the fault of Swale hearing. Leaks in under floor old pipes, a timer that decided to gain 40 minutes! Briefly, Swale Heating's administration is terrible but the Engineers' work is good. “You need more staff!”

What can I say but what an absolute nightmare trying to get through to these people! Why have a call back system when it is so hit and miss. On average over a 30 minutes waiting time to speak to someone. In addition when you are told the engineer will call 30 minutes before your appointment and either doesn't ring or rings with 10 minutes notice!. The engineer phoned with time of arrival, arriving as he had advised. Carried out a very thorough service explaining what he was doing, Checked all radiators and loft insulation and outside vents. He found a filter on the boiler that British Gas who had serviced the boiler for the previous 6years had never checked or cleaned out. First of all you came round before the scheduled date, then you didn't turn up on the scheduled date or time.. you was a day late but luckily I had finished work early because as I got to my front door the bloke was already knocking..
