“Avoid!”

Written on: 05/01/2012

I am very disappointed with this Baumatic BCG600SS cooker, the worst I have ever used in sixty years. The stainless steel looks good and solid and it has a useful storage drawer, but that's where the good points end. The cooker is completely unfit for purpose. I too had a Baumatic cooker some years ago. I also had the problem of the food getting burnt, and some uncooked. When I called in the engineer, his words were the cooker I had purchased wasn't really that good for actually cooking, but was more of a glorified microwave. the above comment is correct, if you really need to cook, don't use the Baumatic..

I have been given a Baumatic oven to cook with in a children's respite home, where I am the cook. What a load of rubbish! Tried making fairy cakes and every time they burn!!! called out engineer twice now, first one told me that the thermostat had broken- only been installed one week, waiting for second engineer to come ou. If no luck am demanding it goes back and I get a more reliable cooker AVOID like the plague!
